Garden Oyster Mushroom Patch (Hypsizygus ulmarius)

Garden Oyster Mushroom Patch (Hypsizygus ulmarius)

The ideal companion for garden vegetables, the prolific and durable Garden Oyster Mushroom (Hypsizygus ulmarius), is able to unlock the nutrients from woody materials such as sawdust, wood chips, straw and even garden debris, while simultaneously feeding the roots of the adjacent plants through the process of symbiosis. Mycelia may be planted between March and October in the northern latitudes (or any time the ground is not frozen solid), while in the Southern latitudes inoculation can take place year round. A great time to do it is during your mulch or straw applications. This is definitely one of the easier mushrooms to cultivate in the outdoor garden
